What are training shoes?

Training sneakers, also known as athletic shoes, are a must-have for any kind of workout; from cross training, to weightlifting, aerobics and more. Training shoes typically have a thicker sole than everyday shoes and provide a higher level of support and cushioning for the feet and ankles.

When looking for training shoes, it's important to consider the type of activity you'll be doing. For example, if you're into aerobics and zumba, you'll want a shoe with a lot of cushioning and a flexible sole. Or if you're into weightlifting, it's best to look for a shoe with a stable sole that is good for traction.

Ryka is a leader in making training shoes that cater to the specific needs of women. Check out our most popular made for women training sneakers such as the Devotion XT, Vivid RZX, Influence and Never Quit. Our training shoes are designed with breathable upper materials, good arch support, and cushioned and flexible soles made for ultimate traction. Happy training!

What is the difference between a training shoe and running shoe?

Training shoes and running shoes are designed with different purposes in mind. A training shoe is designed for a wider range of exercises; such as weightlifting, cross training and circuit training. They typically have a thicker sole and provide more support and cushioning for the feet, to help you stay comfortable and perform at your highest potential.

On the other hand, a running shoe is specifically designed to provide optimal support and cushioning for your feet while running, and also to reduce the impact on your joints. They typically have a more flexible sole to allow your foot to move more naturally while running.

While there are some differences between training and running shoes, ultimately the most important thing is to find the shoe that fits you the best and is most comfortable for you and the type of activity you'll be doing.
